Getting out of glasses, and whether you are actually suitable
Laser vision correction works very well in the right eye and is a poor idea in the wrong one. The assessment matters more than the technology, so that is where this starts.

The suitability check comes first
Before any procedure is discussed, the shape and thickness of your cornea are measured, your prescription is confirmed as stable, your tear film is assessed, and your retina is examined. A thin or irregular cornea, an unstable prescription, significant dry eye or certain retinal findings all change the answer. Some people are told no, and that is the assessment doing its job.
What you need to have in place
Age eighteen or over, a prescription that has not shifted for at least a year, no active eye infection or inflammation, and realistic expectations. Pregnancy and breastfeeding shift your prescription, so it is worth waiting.
The options
These are the procedures assessed here. Which one suits you is decided by your cornea, not by preference.
Vision correction options and the eyes they suit
Procedure
Best suited to
Typical recovery
Standard LASIK
Mild to moderate short sight, long sight and astigmatism, with adequate corneal thickness
1 to 2 days
PRK
Thinner corneas, and people in contact sports or jobs with impact risk
5 to 7 days
LASEK
Thin corneas, and eyes with dry eye tendency
3 to 5 days
Epi-LASIK
Moderate refractive error where a surface procedure is preferred
4 to 6 days
SMILE
Higher short sight, with a smaller incision and no flap
2 to 3 days
ICL
Very high short sight, or corneas unsuitable for laser
About a week
Contoura
Irregular corneas, where a topography guided treatment helps
1 to 2 days
What it does not do
It corrects the prescription you have now. It does not stop your eyes ageing. Reading glasses still arrive in your forties, because that is the lens inside the eye stiffening and no corneal laser touches that. Anyone promising you permanent freedom from all glasses is overselling.
Honest about the trade offs
Dry eye is common in the first months and usually settles. Some people notice haloes or starbursts around lights at night, more so with larger corrections. A small number need a second treatment later. These are the things worth knowing before you decide, not after.

Booking this
Ring +91 82963 57123, message the clinic on WhatsApp, or use the booking form. Say it is about lasik and vision correction so the right amount of time is set aside, and mention it if your eyes may need dilating so you can arrange not to drive.
Questions people ask about this
Is it painful?
Numbing drops mean the procedure itself is not painful. Surface procedures such as PRK are genuinely uncomfortable for a few days afterwards, and LASIK far less so.
How long does the procedure take?
The laser itself is a matter of minutes per eye. The appointment around it is much longer.
What if I am not suitable?
Then you are told, with the reason and the measurement behind it. ICL is often the answer for eyes that cannot have laser treatment.
What does it cost?
It depends on the procedure your eyes need, which is not known until you are assessed. You get a written figure after the assessment, with no obligation.
