01Before you set off

Bring these

Your current glasses or lenses, any earlier prescription or eye report, a list of your medicines, and your latest sugar readings if you are diabetic. For a child, any school vision report.

Plan for dilating drops

If your retina needs examining, and it usually does on a first visit, drops will blur your vision and make you light sensitive for a few hours. Do not plan to drive, and bring sunglasses.

Allow an hour

A proper examination is not five minutes, and longer if drops are needed, because they take twenty to thirty minutes to work before the retina can be seen.

Bringing an elderly patient

Come on a weekday morning if you can. It is the quietest time, the wait is shortest, and there is no rush through the examination.

Cannot travel?

A video consultation over WhatsApp is available by prior appointment, with a follow up visit at the clinic afterwards. Not suitable for pain, injury or sudden loss of vision.

Something urgent

Sudden severe eye pain, a sudden drop in vision, an injury, or rainbow rings around lights with nausea. Ring +91 82963 57123 straight away rather than booking a slot, and if the clinic is closed go to a hospital eye casualty.
